Ice Cube knows exactly where he must show some love if he wants to get those great opening weekend Box Office numbers. You must come to Atlanta, home of the social medialites. Atlanta has the 3rd largest social media rankings in the nation.
Of course we couldn’t let Ice Cube host without inviting America’s favorite Real Housewife of Atlanta Sheree Whitfield and her son King Kairo who has become quite the celebrity Heart Throb since his sexy baretop photos were released. Catching the attention of the Queen of Media Wendy Williams as she spoke on the photos on Hot Topics.
About Fist Fight the movie:
On the last day before summer vacation, high school teacher Andy Campbell tries his best to keep it together amid senior pranks, a dysfunctional administration and budget cuts that threaten his job. Things go from bad to worse when he crosses Ron Strickland, the school’s toughest and most feared teacher. When Strickland gets fired, he challenges Campbell to a fight after school. As news of the showdown spreads like wildfire, poor Andy desperately seeks any way out of his date with certain doom.
Tracy Morgan brought lots of natural laughs to the movie as well. Variety Magazine describes his comeback saying the following:
“Fist Fight” was shot in late 2015 in Atlanta — Morgan’s first movie after the near-fatal 2014 accident on the New Jersey Turnpike, caused when his limousine was struck by a Walmart truck, which resulted in him requiring extensive therapy. He was accompanied on the red carpet by his wife, Megan, and their daughter, Maven, and said both were key in helping him heal after the accident,
“I am just happy to be alive,” he admitted. “The key thing for me was to forgive that driver. My wife told me about forgiveness before I started back — that you have to forgive everything and everybody or you can’t move forward.”
Morgan also gave a shout-out to co-stars Ice Cube, Charlie Day and Jillian Bell, and “Fist Fight” director Richie Keen for allowing him to feel comfortable on the set in his portrayal of a goofy high school sports coach. “I was able to just start being funny again,” he added.
As one of the persons on the press junkett one year ago we got to spend a day on the set and interview Tracy Morgan. I told Tracy ‘When I first heard of the accident I was devastated, You were like our cousin. Following your career all these years you have the type of personality where we feel like we already know you. So we were awaiting every update and rooting for you and your recovery. It’s really just took us out. I’m so happy you are still here with us.”
Tracy Morgan’s eyes were watery as well as he responded, “thank you, thank you.” He then said, “if it weren’t for my wife and my daughter I don’t know how I would have made it. I kept thinking how I had to live for the both of them. I was so grateful my wife was not in that car. She and my daughter travel with me everywhere I go and it was that morning that I told my wife to stay home because my daughter was teething. I told her to stay home and take care of the baby and had she been in that car with me, (pauses and tries to stop the tears). If my wife had of been in that car I don’t believe she would have made it and it brought tears to my eyes when I was able to reflect on how happy I was that I told her to stay back. Or she might not be with me here today and I don’t know what I would have done had that happened. I love my wife and daughter. I love my family.
Please go and check out this movie and if you have children of school age please take them and make this a family affair. In theaters Feb 17th Fist Fight.
