ABC network is really about to creative some serious competition for the other shows that air opposite the time of the new series “Shots Fired.” It’s a great show that speaks on something dear to a black woman’s heart who has experienced the loss of a child because of police brutality. This show was created from something real that’s a serious problem today on a national level and I think it’s definitely the reason it’s going to be a hit!

Stephan James, Sanaa Lathan

Sanaa Lathan embodies her role as the investigative cop and so does the Jesse Owens story actor Stephen James as her partner in crime literally. Casting couldn’t have picked a more perfect oil and water duo to play off of each other for this series. If the opening night was any indication how the next 9 episodes are going to be, we are in for a ride.  The rollercoaster effect was defiitely in motion, our curiosity level stayed on nine the entire episode.

Dutchess of Ink, Mack Wilds

Mack Wilds definitely has caught the acting bug, and keeps improving with every new acting gig. Jill Hennessy is a newbie actress and we are feeling her vibe. She’s definitely a believeable in character as the mom who just lost her son due to racial hating. But who’s side was her son on anyways? What was the mystery with him in the hood with Marijuana in the car too? Hopefully the second episode will bring new light to what’s really going on.
